Articles are the unit of content in your KB. You can author them in Conclude or import them from a connected source.
Creating an article
- From your KB, click New article.
- Fill in:
- Title — the headline customers see.
- Body — the article content. Rich-text editor with headings, lists, code blocks, images, links.
- Category — pick or create one.
- Icon (optional) — small visual cue in the article list.
- Save.
The article appears in your KB list and on the public KB site (if visibility is public).
The editor
The article editor is built on Tiptap. It supports:
- Headings (H1–H4).
- Bold, italic, underline, strikethrough.
- Code blocks with language hints.
- Inline code.
- Bullet and numbered lists.
- Block quotes.
- Images (upload or paste URL).
- Links.
- Horizontal rules.
Drafts auto-save as you type. Publishing is a separate action — you can edit a draft without affecting what customers see.
Categories
Categories organise your KB on the public site. Customers see a category tree on the left of the KB landing page.
- Create a category from any article's category picker, or from the KB settings.
- A KB can have a flat category list or a one-level deep tree.
- Re-categorise articles by editing them.
Visibility
Each KB has a visibility toggle:
- Public — published to the public KB URL. Customers can read.
- Private — only workspace members can see articles. Useful for internal docs you might publish later.
Private KBs don't have a public URL. Switching from private to public publishes everything in the KB at once.
Search
Customers searching the public KB get:
- Starter / Pro plans — keyword search.
- Team plan — Product Expert: semantic search with answers grounded in your articles. Conclude surfaces the relevant article and explains why it matches.
AI-generated context for Conclude
Article content is embedded and used by Conclude internally to:
- Suggest relevant articles when feedback comes in.
- Provide context to Smart Prioritisation (Team) so insights know "this is already documented" or "no docs exist for this."
You don't need to do anything to enable this — it's automatic when articles are present.
